Always With Her Kids! See Julia Roberts’ Rare Outings With Phinnaeus, Hazel and Henry

Julia Roberts is the loving mom of her three kids, and every now and then, fans will get glimpses inside her life with husband Danny Moder and their children. Although it’s not too often, photos from the actress’ rare family outings show she loves spending time with Phinnaeus, Hazel and Henry.

The Pretty Woman star first started her family after she tied the knot with the Hollywood cinematographer in July 2002. Julia and Danny welcomed their twins — son Phinnaeus and daughter Hazel — two years after tying the knot in November 2004. They completed their family with the arrival of son Henry in June 2007. Julia is extremely private with her kiddos, which is why fans don’t see anything of them on social media.

Although she’ll step out for an outing at the grocery store or take her kids to Disneyland for a family trip, the Eat Pray Love actress and Danny keep their children out of the spotlight.

“We try to protect our kids,” Julia told USA Today in 2013. “We just want to have our family life and not have that intruded upon.”

In order to be the best mom to Phinnaeus, Henry and Hazel, the Academy Award winner noted she does her best to trust her instincts when it comes to juggling her hectic Hollywood career. “There has to be some natural understanding of what I feel good about, what can satisfy most people from me, and just try to find that happy balance,” she said.

The Notting Hill star — who was previously married to her first husband, Lyle Lovett, from 1993 to 1995 — is extremely serious about prioritizing her kids’ privacy. In fact, a friend close to Julia and Danny revealed Phinnaeus, Henry and Hazel were the inspiration behind the family’s recent move to San Francisco.

“[Julia] loves Malibu, but she wanted her children, who are growing up so fast, to have the experience of a city with a different energy and vibe,” the insider told Closer Weekly in June.

In order to “raise [their] kids in a more diverse neighborhood,” Julia and Danny purchased an $8.3 million estate in the city’s tony Presidio Heights neighborhood. “Her kids are not movie star kids in San Francisco, where no one cares who your mom is.”

Aside from moving to a move secluded area, the Steel Magnolias alum couldn’t be more thrilled about the pair’s new five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath mansion. “It’s a real forever home,” the friend insisted. ” Julia can imagine growing older with Danny there.”

Julia and Danny’s kids have been kept out of the public eye for most of their lives but the screenwriter occasionally shares photos of the children on his Instagram account. In November 2021, he posted the sweetest photo of the twins to celebrate their birthday with the caption, “These rabble-rousers … 17 today. Thank you for helping me through fatherhood.”
