Her career may be better than ever, but Judge Judy‘s marriage to her husband, Jerry Sheindlin, is on the rocks thanks to her continued success. At age 74, she tells In Touch, “You go until you stop!”

Judy just signed on with CBS through the 2020– 2021 season of her renowned show, Judge Judy, at $50 million per year, which means she will now have to spend some time away from her hubby, who she married in 1977, divorced in 1990, and remarried in 1991.

Her busy lifestyle has had a negative impact on Jerry, who can’t seem to accept the fact that she’ll be working for at least a few more years. “Jerry turns 84 this fall, and frankly, he can’t keep up with Judy’s whirlwind life,” a source told the news outlet. “It’s like Judy is a high-speed train and Jerry’s been left at the station. Judy is a force of nature in her career.”

On top of that, Jerry’s 2002 affair with Kary Farrell, who’s 25 years his senior, “still looms over their marriage,” another insider adds. “It’s been 15 years, but I don’t know that Judy ever fully got over that betrayal. She practically had Jerry’s bags packed and at the door,” the source said. “Judy lost something in her marriage to Jerry. He created a fracture that has never truly healed.”

However, she’s putting herself and her career first today! “Her marriage is really at a crossroads. But for Judy, more than ever, it’s ‘my way or the highway’ when it comes to dealing with Jerry,” the insider explained. “Judy is forceful and decisive, and if she sees her marriage going south, she won’t hesitate for a moment to pull the plug,” her friend added. “She and Jerry have had some wonderful times in their marriage, especially with their kids’ marriages and welcoming their grandchildren into the world, but that might not be enough.” Fingers crossed that they work out their differences!
