After more than three decades away from the small screen, John Travolta is finally returning to TV!

The actor, 60, will both produce and star as O.J. Simpson’s defense attorney, Robert Shapiro, on the upcoming series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Robert, 72, is a civil litigator who is most recognized for his role on the defense team during the former pro-football player’s 1995 trail where he was charged with killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown and waiter Ronald Goldman.

The new 10-part miniseries — which is set to air on FX later this year — is a true crime anthology created as a companion show to the popular show, ‘American Horror Story.’ The first season will focus on the murder trial of O. J. Simpson.

John — who has two children with his wife of more than 20 years, Kelly Preston — previously starred on the popular ABC sitcom ‘Welcome Back, Kotter’ from 1975 – 1979.
