Poor John Stamos! The proud new dad welcomed his three-month-old son, Billy, in April, and just this past weekend he took the little boy to visit NYC — but the pushback from fans wasn't what he expected.

The Full House star was dad-shamed for posting a cute photo of himself holding his little boy in a harness in Times Square. "The Stamos boys take Manhattan," he wrote. And fans quickly wrote their own opinions about how Billy was placed in the carrier.

One shared, "He's too young to comfortably and safely be worn forward facing! His little hips are not ready!" Another added, "The baby should not be facing forward if he doesn’t have full head control." One wrote, "The baby must to go in front of you, looking to you. His back can be damaged."

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, John opened up about the dad-shaming. "A lot of people were commenting, 'You can’t be holding like that and you shouldn’t be bringing him there yet, he’s too young!' I have so many dad-shamers. It’s crazy," he said.

But John isn't letting the social media haters ruin how much he's enjoying fatherhood thus far. "I spend the most time just day dreaming about what his and our life will be like," she shared. "There’s no wasting time anymore. That’s the best thing about being a dad."

John's wife, Caitlin McHugh, has noticed how much her hubby likes being a dad, so she's already opened up about having more children with the handsome TV star. "I would love to give him a little girl," the actress recently told Entertainment Tonight. "He comes so naturally to fatherhood and I love watching it. I stare at the both of them all the time. [John is] 100 percent full-on active and fantastic… He's perfect, he's a perfect father. I can't wait to give him more [kids]." We can't wait to see the Stamos clan continue to grow!
