Nothing is always as perfect as it may seem.
John Legend got candid in a recent interview about being a new parent with his beautiful wife, Chrissy Teigen — and opened up about the challenges of raising their 10-month-old daughter, Luna.
"It’s a difficult thing to be a new father and for my wife to be a new mother," John, 38, revealed to People after Chrissy announced her battle with postpartum depression. "I just want to be a good husband and dad."
Chrissy, 31, expressed how supportive her hubby of three years was to her during that troubling time. "He’s exactly as compassionate, patient, loving, and understanding as he seems," she wrote in her Glamour essay.
The "All of Me" singer has also learned a lot about his marriage once he became a dad in April 2016. "[Parenting] advances the level of partnership you share. It’s exciting to see how we as a couple grow together and learn how to react to the challenges and the joys," he confessed.
John also looked back on his exceptionally successful and happy recent years. "The past couple of years have been amazing," he revealed. And we can only imagine it got even better when his little girl came into the world!
He gushed about his special father-daughter bond with baby Luna. "My wife’s a little bit jealous," he admitted. "We’ve got to have a boy too, so she can feel that same feeling."
In a previous interview, John revealed the couple definitely want to have more kids! "We want to have more," he gushed. "We had a hard time doing it ourselves, so we got some help. It resulted in Luna and hopefully it will result in a couple more kids in the future." So sweet!
