Actor John Goodman has always had ups and downs when it comes to his weight, but he was recently spotted out and about looking thinner than ever!

John, 66, not only currently stars on The Conners but also continues to reel in big-time roles in Hollywood, most recently starring in the Netflix series, Black Earth Rising. But aside from being in a ton of productions, the 10 Cloverfield Lane star seems to also be working on his weight and health, as new photos show him looking quite skinny. The Golden Globes winner was seen in a parking lot in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 6, apparently heading to the doctor. The reason for his visit isn’t known, but we do hope all is well!

The Conners will be back for a second season, and it will, of course, not involve Roseanne Barr. John once told People his thoughts on the show going on without its lead. “It’s different, but we can create something new from it,” he told the outlet. “There was a feeling of not wanting it to go away until we were ready. There was a debt owed to this fictional family. We want to finish telling this story.”

When he’s not playing a family man on the ABC program, the Barton Fink star is playing the role in real life, as he’s been married to Anna Beth Goodman since 1989. The pair has one daughter, Molly Evangeline Goodman, 28.

John, who gave up drinking in 2007, once revealed that he used the vice to deal with his insecurity. “I’ve got nothing to bring to the party,” he said, adding that he “didn’t appreciate it [Roseanne] at the time.” He explained, “I started drinking a lot. It was one of those things an alcoholic does. Whatever you’ve got isn’t good enough.”

After giving up drinking, the actor weighed in at 368 pounds in 2007 but began working on shedding the weight. “This time I wanted to [lose weight] slowly, move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still,” he said. Keep up the good work, John!
