How exciting! Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines have officially revealed the gender of their fifth baby — it’s a boy! Chip shared the happy news in a cute video posted to his Twitter account on Wednesday, March. 7. “Alright, alright… if we’re going to announce the gender of our fifth child, it might as well come from my new friend Gage! Take it away my man,” the 43-year-old captioned the sweet clip. In the video, Chip told Gage, “Listen to me, it’s a little boy and I need a ‘D’ name and so far all I could come up with is ‘Dragon.'” Watch the moment in the video below!
Chip and Jo — who are already parents to kids Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie, 7 — previously announced in early January that they’re expecting baby No. 5. A few weeks later, Joanna, 39, hinted at the new addition’s gender by sharing an ultrasound video to her Instagram account. “Chip swears he can already tell it’s a boy. Look at the little heartbeat!” she captioned the clip.
After the Fixer Upper couple confessed they’re expecting another son — and that they’ll give the new baby a ‘D’ name just like his two older brothers’ monikers! — Chip and Jo’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement over the news. “Congrats on another sweet boy!” one person Tweeted with another similarly adding, “I’m not crying, you’re crying! Ahh! So excited for you guys, another boy! So exciting! The girls are outnumbered!”

The HGTV stars’ fans were also quick to offer baby boy name suggestions to the duo. “Deacon!” one person Tweeted at Chip, to which he replied, “Oh me like! Deke. That feels right.” Others recommended ‘D’ names including David, Daniel, Dallas, Declan, Denver, Dylan, Dax, Dane, Dalton, Dean, and many more. Whatever they name the baby, we’re sure to love the moniker — we can’t wait to meet Chip and Jo’s new addition in just a few months!
