Jim Carrey Worries Fans With Unrecognizable New Selfie — See the Pic

Is that you, Jim Carrey?

The 55-year-old actor concerned his fans when he posted a new selfie via Twitter on Saturday, April 15 because he looks totally unrecognizable in the pic.

“Happy Easter or Passover or whatever reason you can find to feel warm and fuzzy,” Jim captioned the pic of himself holding a tiny bunny and sporting a huge, bushy beard.

“I had to look at this picture for five minutes before my brain understood that this was Jim Carrey,” one of The Mask star’s 15.5 million followers commented on the pic with another adding, “So not used to seeing you with a beard, let alone gray hair!”

Many fans additionally noted Jim’s beard now makes him looks like Tom Hanks’ character in his hit 2000 drama Cast Away or the late Robin Williams. Others commented on how old the beloved actor appears in the new snapshot.

The past few years have been tough for Jim. The Bruce Almighty star tragically lost his girlfriend Cathriona White in September 2015 after she allegedly committed suicide at age 30. Though Jim and Cathriona were reportedly not a couple at the time of her passing, the actor was “deeply saddened” by her sudden death.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt,” he said in a statement at the time.
