Jim Carrey's Girlfriend Cathriona White Has Committed Suicide - Closer Weekly

Jim Carrey has released a heartbreaking statement in the wake of his girlfriend Cathriona White‘s death from suicide.

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt,” the actor told Us Weekly.

Jim Carrey‘s girlfriend, Cathriona White, has sadly died after committing suicide.

According to TMZ, law enforcement officials found the 30-year-old makeup artist’s body at her LA home on the evening of Monday, Sept. 28. The LAPD allegedly believes she ended her life by overdosing on prescription pills.

Sources told the entertainment news outlet that Cathriona left a suicide note addressed to Jim, 53, that made reference to their recent breakup on Sept. 24.

The same day she and The Mask star ended their four-month relationship, Cathriona tweeted, “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
