Jessica Alba Files for Divorce From Husband Cash Warren More Than 1 Month After Their Separation

Jessica Alba has filed for divorce from husband Cash Warren after 16 years of marriage, Closer can confirm.

The Honey actress, 43, submitted her divorce paperwork with help from celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser on Friday, February 7, according to court docs obtained by Closer.

Jessica listed their date of separation as December 27, 2024, and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. The entrepreneur asked for joint physical and legal custody of her and Cash’s three minor children, Honor, Haven and Hayes.

TMZ was the first to report. Sources told the outlet that the split is “extremely amicable” and that Jessica and Cash, 46, do not have a prenup.

Cash filed paperwork with attorney Adam Lipsic soon after his estranged wife, according to the outlet. The pair’s assets — including Jessica’s baby and beauty products business, Honest Company, and Cash’s socks and underwear company, Pair of Thieves, are considered community property, the publication noted.

The divorce filings come more than one month after TMZ reported on January 8 that Jessica and Cash, who tied the knot in 2008, had separated. The outlet noted that the couple was planning to divorce but did not provide a reason for their split.

A source later told Life & Style that the pair had simply grown “apart.”

“They’re being very honest about their feelings, and why it’s the right time to move on. No one is placing blame,” the insider said on January 10. “Jessica and Cash aren’t bitter, they still like each other and plan on staying cordial.”

The source added that the spouses were focused on “healthy coparenting and making this transition as smooth as possible” for their children.

Jessica broke her silence after the separation report in a January 16 Instagram post.

“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash. I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals,” she wrote.

The statement continued, “We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”

Hours before news of her divorce filing broke, Jessica continued posting on social media, including a handful of cryptic messages.

“In my artist era,” one post on her Instagram Stories read, while another added, “In my inner peace era.”

She also reposted an Instagram Reel featuring the inspirational message reading, “If you take one thing with you today, let it be this: You are incredible, strong, courageous, kind, loved, worthy and truly one of a kind.”

Finally, Jessica shared the definition of a “soft life.”

“The radical act of choosing calm over chaos, pleasure over pressure, and serenity over stress,” the definition read. “It’s about crafting a life sprinkled with joy, simplicity, and maybe a bit of indulgence because why not? Life’s too short for subpar coffee and missed sunsets.”
