At 50 years old, Jennifer Lopez is on top of the world. The beloved actress and singer recently opened up about her incredible relationship with fiancé Alex Rodriguez and how his undying support has been one her greatest blessings.

“There were times in my life when my career was going great, and my personal life was going OK,” the Second Act star gushed to Variety. “And there were times my personal life was stable, but my career was not great. This is the first time where I have a really beautiful alignment between the two. I think Alex brought that for me. I love it. We have a beautiful life.”

The “Jenny From the Block” songstress — who became engaged to the baseball hunk, 44, in early March — also confessed that she nearly passed on her role in her upcoming movie Hustlers because of Alex and their blended brood. “We were supposed to do it last summer, and I had worked so much,” said Jen, who is the mom of 11-year-old twins Max and Emme, while the Sunday Night Baseball host is the dad of Natasha, 14, and Ella, 11. “I was like, ‘I have to stay home with my kids and Alex.'”

Luckily for her fans, Jen stuck with Hustlers and ended up filming the movie before heading out on her “It’s My Party” tour ahead of her milestone birthday in mid-July of this year. The movie was inspired by the New York Magazine article, “Hustlers at the Scores” and follows a group of strippers who join forces to scam their wealthy Wall Street clients out of thousands of dollars.

Although fans couldn’t be more excited, the Billboard Icon Award-winner admitted that she was “terrified” to perform a dance in a G-string. “I felt exposed,” she explained to the outlet. “I was like, ‘I’ve never done anything like this. I’m going to be up there in f–king dental floss. What is this? Who is this person?’ And then you get up there, and you have to have a ‘f–k you’ empowered attitude.”

Jen dished how she was able to overcome her fear in the most inspiring way. “You have to take your power back. You have to be so bold. It’s almost like when you say you’re a rock star, you have to be arrogant to go up there in front of all those people or you crumble,” she said. “You realize it’s the same type of balls that it takes to do something like that. And these women have that. They are tough, hard, vulnerable and damaged. It’s a great character to play.”

We can’t wait to watch the brunette beauty hit the big screen in Hustlers on September 13!
