She dominates any awards show that she performs at, therefore, getting a few words of wisdom from Jennifer Lopez is sure to help one’s stage fright go away. Especially for Bradley Cooper, who the Second Act star gave a quick pep talk to just moments before he took the stage to perform “Shallow” alongside his A Star Is Born love interest Lady Gaga at the 2019 Oscars on Sunday, February 24.

The highly anticipated performance blew viewers away and became one of the biggest and most acclaimed moments of the night. So, what did Jen whisper to the handsome hunk? Well, the “Jenny from the Block” singer, 49, — who revealed what happened in an Instagram Live stream on her boyfriend Alex Rodriguezs social media following the conclusion of the awards show — gave Bradley, 44, some last-minute words of encouragement before he hopped on stage.

“He seemed a little nervous. I just whispered — I said, ‘The song is so beautiful. When they hear the first few notes, they’re going to start applauding. So don’t worry. Just deliver the song.’ He was like, ‘I got it, I got it, okay,'” Jen sweetly revealed. Even she was impressed, gushing to her former pro baseball player beau, 43, that the performance was “amazingly beautiful, intimate” and “to have a front row seat to that was so special.” Aww!

Though we couldn’t imagine A Star Is Born cast any differently, it just so happens that it easily could have been J.Lo up there just as much as Lady Gaga, 32. This past December, the Maid in Manhattan star revealed that she and Will Smith were so close to being cast to play the lead roles of Ally and Jack in the film. In fact, it was actually the brunette beauty and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star, 50, who were initially “talking about” costarring in the movie and “developing the script,” but sadly, “it just never took off,” she told Extra at the time.

“Projects are like that,” she gushed to the outlet, before noting that she’s “really proud of Bradley” for “directing his first film and doing it.” And in case you’re wondering, Jen is just as happy for the “Bad Romance” singer too. “We’re friends and watching Gaga kind of do her thing in the movie. It was just great.” Could you imagine J.Lo and Will as the stars of the movie?!
