They have been engaged since March, but Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have not started to plan their wedding yet — however, the famous pair have a good reason for it.

“I have a movie I’m shooting in October [Marry Me] and the movie has an album that goes with it, so I’m just a little bit busy right now,” the singer, 50, told ES Magazine in a recent interview. “And until October, [Alex] has the World Series in baseball. We’re going to have to pick a day, pick a time and block it out, but we’re definitely talking about it.”

While the power couple may not have a wedding date set yet, they still understand how key saying I do is. “[Marriage is] important for both of us,” the Second Act actress told the outlet. “We both come from traditional Latin families and we want that.”

“Everyone wants somebody to grow old with,” Jennifer continued. “At the end of the day, how much work can you do, how much money can you make, and what does it all matter? It doesn’t, really.” The hitmaker will eventually tie the knot, but she did reach out to a notable person recently for some marriage advice before the big day. That person? Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

“I was called up about a month or so ago by Jennifer, and she said she would like to meet me and introduce her fiancé,” the Supreme Court Justice, 86, revealed while talking at the Library of Congress National Book Festival at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, August 31.

Ruth went on to explain that her mother-in-law gave her some pretty strong advice on her wedding day — the same that she ended up passing to the World of Dance judge. “On the day I was married, my mother-in-law — I was married at her home — she took me aside and said she wanted to tell me what was the secret of a happy marriage,” Ruth recalled. “And I said, ‘I’d be glad to hear it. What is it?’ And she responded: ‘It helps, sometimes, to be a little deaf.'” Ha!

It certainly seems when Jennifer and Alex finally get married they will be completely prepared and filled with advice!
