Jennifer Garner Proves She Has Royal Style by Wearing the Same Dress Meghan Markle Once Did

When Jennifer Garner stepped out to receive her Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Monday, Aug. 20, people couldn’t stop talking about the actress’ optical illusion updo and how grown up her three kids looked. But eagle-eyed royal fans later realized that Jennifer’s dress was also super special as it’s a frock Meghan Markle recently wore, too! 

For the occasion, Jennifer, 46, rocked the navy blue Roland Mouret Barwick Dress which retails for around $2,100. Meghan, 37, previously wore the same garment on the eve of her May 19 royal wedding to Prince Harry when she was photographed arriving at Windsor, England’s Cliveden House Hotel with her mom, Doria Ragland. 

Funnily enough, Jennifer gave Harry and Meghan a cute shoutout on social media right before they said “I Do” earlier this year. At the time, the mom-of-three posted a sweet throwback photo of herself and Mark Ruffalo filming their 2004 rom-com 13 Going on 30 and captioned the pic, “Harry and Meghan, if you’re looking for stand-ins, @MarkRuffalo and I are just hangin’ around. #13GoingOn30 #SoYoungSaturday #CongratulationsHarryAndMeghan. 

During her Walk of Fame ceremony, Jennifer candidly spoke out about first moving to Hollywood, her most memorable roles, and her family’s support. “Making a couple hundred dollars a week to pay for my apartment, I really thought that was as good as it was going to get. I was completely and totally thrilled with that,” she said adding that her Hollywood success has “all been a big accident.”

Jen then remembered her famous TV gig, Alias. “Playing Sydney Bristow defined me for so long, and it re-defined me to myself. It made me strong and made me more confident. It even changed the tenor of my voice. Talk about language — I literally had to learn different languages,” she shared. 

The actress — who was born in Texas and raised in West Virginia — also thanked her family for their love and support over the years. “My family is not a Hollywood-y family. My little sister is an accountant. My older sister’s in marketing. They have always been unabashedly proud and happy for me, but my job is not the focal point of our family,” Jennifer said.
