When Justin Theroux got down on one knee and slipped an enormous sparkler on Jennifer Aniston’s finger back in 2012, she only had one thought. And it wasn’t yes! In fact, just like all of us, Jen couldn’t stop worrying about how she desperately needed a manicure.

“I don’t have the patience to let my nails dry, I usually just buff my nails,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “When Justin proposed he put that freaking ring on my finger, and I was like, ‘Holy crap, now I’m going to have to get manicures!'”

These days, the couple are enjoying wedded bliss — in fact, Jen revealed that she recently renovated Justin’s NYC apartment. “You should have seen Justin. We walked in one day after they’d been doing the demo, and he was like, ‘Holy s–t. What are we doing?’ I was like, ‘We’re redoing the house, babe. We gotta take the wall down to put up a nicer one,'” she explained.

While renovations can be stressful, Jen said that it bought them closer together. “They say building houses can make or break a couple,” she said. “I was so used to doing it on my own, and there were moments when I was like, ‘Don’t say no so fast’… It wasn’t very hard because he loved whatever I brought to him.”

What’s more, it seems if Jen’s acting career ever goes downhill she has a clear back-up plan. “I love it. I’m getting antsy to do another [house renovation] project,” she revealed. “It’s a hell of an expensive hobby, though. If I wasn’t acting, I would do that full-time.”
