Jennifer Aniston Shares Rare Childhood Photo as She Celebrates Her First Throwback Thursday
Ever since Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram on Tuesday, October 15, she’s been having a lot of fun posting on the social media platform. On Thursday, October 17, she blessed us with a throwback photo of herself as a little girl alongside another close-up snap of her now and — spoiler alert — she looks just as amazing.
“#TBT In style, then and now,” she penned the caption. It didn’t take too long for her friends to race to the comments.
“Cutie pie 💕,” Reese Witherspoon wrote. Rita Wilson added, “Koukla!” Jen’s photo has racked up over 5 million likes in less than a day — but that barely compares to the first snap that she shared on Instagram.
When Jen joined the app earlier this week, her profile quickly became verified after she posted a photo of her reuniting with her Friends costars over dinner. “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻,” she penned the caption.
Shortly after that post went live, Jen apologized to her fans for breaking the internet because news of her new social media profile quickly went viral and caused glitches on the app. “I swear I didn’t mean to break it,” she joked. “Thank you guys for the kind, glitchy welcome ❤️.”
It appears that when Jen met up with Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc for a private reunion, they convinced her to join Instagram after they all caught up with one another 15 years after Friends ended.
“We just had dinner on Saturday. Yeah, the whole gang, everyone was there. David was in town and we all happened to have a window of time so we all got together,” she recently recalled on The Howard Stern Show. “We laughed so hard.”
Since they were all back together again, Jen and her costars went down memory lane and recalled all of the great times that they had together on the show — including their demand for equal pay.
“We stood as a solitary unit and asked for the exact same, equal pay,” Jen revealed. “We were leading the charge, ahead of our time.”
