We need to go eat dinner at Jennie Garth's house!
The former Beverly Hills 90210 star opened up about growing up in Illinois in a new interview — and revealed her rural upbringing really affects her family's diet!
"I just don’t buy anything that’s in a box or can. We cook every night and eat fresh, healthy, and clean," Jennie, 45, told People.
However, California is a little different than Illinois, so Jennie is always finding ways to get creative with their food. "We don’t have a lot of land, but we have a garden tower, which is a vertical situation and it’s awesome," she said. "We have tomato plants, things like that, and I’m always a crazy vitamin lady."
Jennie Garth and her ex-husband Peter Facinelli — the two were married from 2001 until 2013 — are parents to three daughters, Luca, 19, Lola. 14. and, Fiona, 10. Jennie remarried to Dave Abrams in 2015.
"I have three girls and growing up on a farm in Illinois, I was instilled with great values and the quality of having your own garden and growing your own fruits and vegetables from a young age,” Jennie added. "I love being able to do that with my own kids and pass that message along to other people."
In a previous interview, Jennie revealed she'd "love to have kids" with Dave. "We would be happy with just one. But we’re also happy with the girls we have, so whatever comes our way!" she confessed.
"He’s never been a father, and he’s taken on the role of stepdad to my girls so seamlessly," she continued. "I have to give him so much credit for that because it is a handful and a half!"
If they do have a baby, he or she will clearly have the perfect diet!
