Jenna Bush Hager Sips on Espresso Martinis With Ciara on ‘Today’: ‘What a Way to Start the Day’

Jenna Bush Hager has been having a lot of fun with her celebrity guest cohosts on Today With Jenna & Friends. The NBC personality enjoyed a cocktail with singer Ciara as they played a game of Sip or Spill during an episode of the program on Wednesday, January 29.

The pair sat together at the news desk with large martini glasses in front of them during the broadcast. They introduced the segment while seductive music played in the background.

“I like that music,” Ciara, 39, said, while Jenna, 43, quipped. “Yeah, exactly, it feels like we’re in a sexy elevator.”

Jenna explained the rules of the game to Ciara. She would ask her questions, and if the performer wanted to answer, she could. However, if the music superstar did not want to answer, she could take a sip of the drink in front of her.

Ciara explained that the rum in the drink was made from her brand, Ten To One Rum. She said it was a Caribbean espresso martini.

Jenna held her massive glass up for a cheers with Ciara and then took a sip of the martini to try it out.

“Oh, I like that better than a vodka,” the former first daughter remarked. “Wow, what a way to start the day.”

“This is the perfect way,” Ciara said. “I think I might sip the whole time.”

The duo then jumped right into the questions. Jenna asked Ciara which of her friends she would turn to if she wanted to have a wild night out. Ciara said that La La Anthony is the “best party girl.”

Next, Jenna asked Ciara if she planned to expand her family with husband Russell Wilson.

“We know from your Insta that your husband Russell wants baby cinco,” Jenna asked. “Do you think y’all are gonna have baby No. 5?”

“I do,” Ciara responded.

“Let’s go!” Jenna said excitedly.

Ciara said she would like to have another child “in a little bit of time.”

The “Level Up” singer is a mom to son Future Zahir, whom she shares with ex Future, and kids Sienna, Win and Amora with Russell, 36.

“My youngest is 1,” Ciara said. “You know there’s a trend with our babies, they are all three years apart. I’m not saying that we’re going to follow that trend, but, you know. If it’s up to Russ, you know, cinco is coming next month. We got a little time baby.”

“I feel like you get some of these things going and cinco could be here any day,” Jenna said while pointing at her martini.

Jenna then asked Ciara who her kids would say is the fun parent. She said herself and laughed.

“I think it depends on the scenario,” she said, explaining that Russell is “so good” with the boys when it comes to sports but her daughter is just like her.

Jenna will be joined by celebrity guest cohosts on Today‘s fourth hour for an unforeseeable amount of time. Hoda Kotb departed the program earlier this month, leaving the door wide open for a rotating panel of cohosts until Jenna finds her permanent costar.
