Jane Seymour turned 75 on Sunday, February 15 — but according to her, the birthday celebration is just getting started.

Though Seymour had to spend her actual birthday attending a memorial for a close friend who died, followed by a private dinner party hosted by two other close friends, she was looking forward to a family gathering the next day she told People in a story published on Monday, February 16.

“We’re all getting together for lunch. So that would be my twin [sons], John and Kris and their wives, and my daughter Katie Flynn and [son] Sean Flynn, and possibly [daughter] Jenni Flynn and the grandchildren,” the Somewhere in Time actress explained to the outlet.

After that, she says she’s planning a more intimate birthday celebration with close friends on March 1 before a “big party” in April that will be part of an event for her Open Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit designed to support emerging nonprofit charities.

“And then in the summer, when my sisters and all the cousins and babies arrive, we’re going to have a gathering — I hope — in the beginning of August,” she added.

She’s excited knowing that by the end of 2026, she’ll have “absolutely celebrated my birthday for the whole year.”

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman alum also took time to share a video on her Instagram to the public, celebrating the occasion and honoring her late mother, Mieke Frankenberg.

“As a lot of you realize, I’m celebrating my 75th year on this planet,” she began the video. “Thinking about what has been most important to me in my life I would say that one of the most important things has been the legacy of my mother, her wisdom, that we open our hearts and give and receive love that we find purpose in life by helping others, that we have open hearts and open minds to the struggles of others.”

“On my birthday, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support,” Seymoure added in the caption. “It means more to me than you know. My greatest wish this year is that each of you use something uniquely yours to make a difference.”
