If Jane Fonda is known for one thing, it’s that she ages gracefully. But what many fans want to know is if her secret is plastic surgery, especially after she denied talking about it with Megyn Kelly during her visit to Megyn Kelly Today last year.
And now, Jane, 80, has opened up about going under the knife — and admitted she’s not crediting look great at her age to good genes only. “I’m glad I look good for my age, but I’ve had plastic surgery,” she confessed in the new HBO documentary about her life Jane Fonda in Five Acts. “I’m not going to lie about that.”

She added of her eye and jawline work, “On one level, I hate the fact that I’ve had the need to alter myself physically to feel that I’m OK. I wish I wasn’t like that. I love older faces. I love lived-in faces. I loved Vanessa Redgrave’s face. I wish I was braver. But I am what I am.”
Closer Weekly recently checked in with experts (who have not worked with Jane specifically) about the actress’ potential procedures. Dr. Adam Hamawy said, “She’s probably had a facelift, browlift, and skin from her upper lids and lower eyelids tightened. She also looks like she’s had laser skin resurfacing or deep chemical peels and fillers to maintain those high cheekbones.”
Dr. Andrew Miller suggests, “It appears that she may have had surgery on her eyelids and brow, as well as her jawline and neck. The result is very nice and she looks natural so her surgeon did a good job.”
Adds Dr. Vartan Mardirossian, “[It seems she may have gotten] Botox to the forehead as her eyebrows are a little lower when they start curving close to the nose. [She also may have gottten] fillers in the cheeks as their contour and volume are perfect, [and she] may have done some fillers to the lips.” He continued, “[She] likely [got a] facelift and neck lift as she has no jowling and no relaxed skin of the upper neck is seen.” She looks great no matter what she gotten done, in our opinion!
