On her new Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith doesn’t leave any stone unturned. The 47-year-old mother is far from afraid to talk about all of her family’s most private secrets on the talk show, even if it embarrasses her two kids, Jaden, 20, and Willow, 18, who are apparently begging her to stop.
“Jada’s been talking about everything from her rocky start with Will [Smith]’s first wife to her vaginal rejuvenation. Nothing is off limits and Willow and Jaden are fed up,” a source recently revealed to OK! in the magazine’s latest issue. “The kids are worried their family is becoming a laughingstock. They just want Jada to stop talking.”
In one episode, Jada was joined by her daughter who shockingly revealed that she used to cut herself shortly after the release of her 2010 single, “Whip My Hair.” Though Willow confidently revealed her dark secret to the world, she was reportedly upset that Jada repeated her self-harm confession at a promotional event in October.
Willow “wasn’t happy,” the source revealed and added that Jaden was even more aggravated that his mom admitted to having a few regrets about marrying young. “Jaden was upset over his mom’s claims that she never wanted to get married, but had to because she was pregnant with him,” the insider shared.
“It was almost as if [my mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones] was like, ‘You have to get married,’” Jada previously revealed on Red Table Talk. “I was under so much pressure being a young actress. Being young, pregnant… I just didn’t know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married.”
Once Jaden found out what his mother said about her marriage, it apparently hurt him to the core. The source added, “Jada thinks it’s healthy to talk about this stuff but not everyone in her family agrees.”
