Have you missed the Irwin family on TV screens as much as we have? Never fear, because they are coming back! Bindi Irwin, 19, posted a video of the family to Instagram this week sharing the exciting news. Her brother, 14-year-old Bob Irwin, is at the front of the video holding the camera and starts the clip explaining just how excited the family is to be returning to Animal Planet next year.

"We have wonderful new adventures coming to your television screen," Bindi said. "It all started in 1996 with the Crocodile Hunter, and now the Irwin family is back," mom Terri Irwin chimed in.

"[I've] been waiting since you guys were still small for you to grow up and bring us only what the Irwin family can bring us! Miss your dad, [Steve Irwin], so, so much," said one commenter, voicing what we were all thinking. Husband of Terri and dad to the kids, Steve, was tragically killed in 2006 while filming.

A spokesperson from Discovery Communications confirmed the news, saying we can expect the series to be action-oriented and have a true sense of authenticity thanks to the kids following so naturally in their father's footsteps. One of Australia’s favorite daughters, Bindi, is following in her famous father’s footsteps in more ways than one — she has fallen irretrievably in love with an American.

Bindi has spoken exclusively to the Australian Women’s Weekly about the parallels between her life and her father’s and finding happiness with a wakeboard champion who her late dad Steve would “love." “Ever since I was a little boy, I was running around the backyard in Florida catching little snakes, lizards, and alligators,” Bindi's boyfriend,
Chandler Powell, has said. "I grew up outside, always jumping in the lake, always covered in mud.” So cute!
