Actor Joe Mantegna might play an FBI special agent on the hit CBS drama "Criminal Minds," but it didn’t take a lot of detective work to find the ideal home for his family.
In the new issue of Closer, the actor opens the doors to his traditional English Tudor 4,200-square-foot Los Angeles home that he purchased three years ago. “Walking in here, the first thing that struck me was, ‘This is what we’ve been looking for,’" Joe, 66, tells Closer.
The best part? “There’s no street traffic here,” Joe says, “and the great thing is one of my closest friends and neighbors is an LAPD police sergeant. It adds a certain feeling of comfort.”
Joe is quick to point out who’s responsible for the homey touches. While he enjoys directing, Joe has left the decor to wife Arlene, 64, describing her as “Lucy to my Ricky — she runs the kingdom,” adding, “this house isn’t tiny by any means, but it feels really cozy.”
