Beaches is getting a major reboot!
Nia Long and Idina Menzel have been cast as Hillary Whitney and CC Bloom, respectively, in the upcoming Lifetime TV movie remake of the hit 1988 comedy-drama Beaches, Entertainment Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Barbara Hershey previously played lawyer Hillary while Bette Midler portrayed aspiring NYC performer CC in the original film, which was directed by the late Garry Marshall.

Beaches will premiere on Lifetime in 2017.
