Congrats!Idina Menzel Has Married Her ‘Rent’ Co-Star Aaron Lohr
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Lohr! Idina Menzel and her Rent co-star Aaron Lohr married at their California home this past weekend, the singer confirmed via Twitter on Monday, Sept. 25. “Wanted to let you know… Married the love of my life #AaronLohr this weekend [at] our home. [My] dad [and my] son walked me down [the] aisle. It was magical,” Idina wrote.
This is the Frozen star’s second marriage. Idina, 46, was previously hitched to actor Taye Diggs for 11 years from 2003 until 2014. The former couple are parents to an eight-year-old son, Walker Nathaniel Diggs. Idina previously announced she and Aaron — who co-starred together in the 2005 movie Rent — were engaged in September 2016.

“As if this week couldn’t get any better I have wonderful news… my man and I are engaged! We are so happy. It’s a beautiful time,” Idina wrote via Twitter at the time. The couple began dating in April 2015 and moved into an Encino, CA house together later that year, according to Variety.
Aaron, 41, is most known for working as a child star in several Disney movies including The Mighty Ducks, A Goofy Movie, and Newsies. He’s also appeared on hit TV shows White Collar, Blue Bloods, and The Mentalist. He now works at the Avalon Malibu Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Center in California as a primary therapist and group facilitator, according to People.
In addition to her starring roles in Rent and Frozen — she famously voiced animated character Queen Elsa — Idina’s acting credits include Glee, Enchanted, Beaches, and Private Practice. The Tony-winning star is perhaps most know, however, for her theater roles in Rent, Wicked, and If/Then.
Since divorcing first-husband Taye, Idina has admitted the two are on good terms and simply want to be great co-parents for their young son, Walker. “Your child comes first, that’s all. It’s all about that. He comes first and you have to get past your own egos and you never talk bad about each other,” she once told People. We’re so glad Idina has found love again with her new husband, Aaron!
