Hoda Kotb comforted her BFF Kathie Lee Gifford during Tuesday, Oct. 18's Today episode when the talk show host emotionally remembered her late husband, Frank Gifford, on the couple's 30th anniversary.

"Today would have marked my 30th wedding anniversary with my husband, and I'm deeply grateful for all the years I had with this amazing man," KLG revealed on air while tearing up. "I had no intention of saying that, but that's why I love working with you, Hoda. I can just be real."

Hoda, 52, then showed her condolences by sweetly whispering "I love you" in Kathie Lee's ear.

Kathie Lee, 63, and Frank — who sadly died from natural causes in August 2015 at the age of 84 — married in 1986 and have a son, Cody, 26, and a daughter, Cassidy, 23, together.

In another previous interview, Hoda opened up about the first time she met Kathie Lee. "I was at a restaurant with a friend of mine who’s a producer, and we were sitting and we go, 'Is that Kathie Lee? Oh my God,'" she said.

Hoda later got to work with KLG for the first time as a co-host on Today. "She showed up, her cleavage was out, she had hair pieces, fake hair, she’s in her tight, whatever, and she was awesome, like she killed it," Hoda said of Kathie Lee.
