Hoda Kotb Celebrates Christmas in New Suburban Home With Ex Fiance Joel Schiffman and Daughters

Hoda Kotb reunited with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman for Christmas! The Today host shared photos from her celebration with her family in her new suburban home on her Instagram account on Wednesday, December 25.

Hoda, 60, posed for pictures with her two daughters, Haley and Hope, and Joel, 66, while wearing matching Christmas pajamas. Presents could be seen sprawled out on the floor and other surfaces in her home, along with festive decorations. It’s obvious they were in the Christmas spirit all day long!

Fans were thrilled to see Joel in the photos, leaving several comments about his presence.

“So happy to see Joel with you guys!” one person wrote in a comment, while another said, “So nice to see Joel. The girls are so lucky to have him. Merry Christmas.”

A few hours after opening presents on Christmas morning, Hoda posted a photo of her family sitting on the couch in the living room, still rocking their Christmas pajamas.

“Raise your hand if you are still in your christmas jammies and watching football,” Hoda captioned the snapshot.

“Merry Christmas loved seeing Joel with you guys today I’m sure the girls were happy,” one person wrote in a comment, as another person wrote, “Am I seeing Joel there?!?!!!! Merry Christmas.”

Later on, Hoda revealed that the family was sitting down for dinner in the gorgeous dining room in the new house, writing, “5:55 pm dinner time—/still in christmas jammies!!.”

In the photo, Joel sat at the table next to Hoda’s mom, Sameha Kotb. Haley and Hope sat on the other side of the table with Hoda’s sister, Hala.

“I love seeing your family together. You and Joel are doing it right,” a comment underneath the photo said.

“Wonderful to see Joel. Beautiful family,” another wrote.

Hoda announced her breakup from Joel during an episode of Today in January 2022. She made her way back onto the dating scene but still maintains a coparenting relationship with Joel for the sake of their daughters.

“He’ll have a Saturday, and I’ll do the Sunday. We switch each week,” the mom of two told People in August 2022. “He’ll take the girls and do some fun things, and I’ll take some quiet time. It’s a healthy mix, and the kids love it. He’s a great dad.”

Hoda said that the key to their coparenting relationship was communication and being flexible.

“‘Does that work for you?’ ‘Do you need me to change that?’ We’re very open about fixing things so that everybody’s needs are being met,” she remarked. “He’s a great dad — but I also know I’m on the right road.”

Now, she’s living in her new home with Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, and gearing up for her Today exit. Her final episode of the talk show will air on January 10.

“Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have,” she told her Today colleagues on September 26 of her Today exit. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time. And so, with all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world.”
