Helen Hunt Grabs Lunch With Actor Jay Huguley — and Daughter Makena, 15, Joins Them!

Oh, baby! Helen Hunt was all smiles as she was spotted grabbing lunch with The Walking Dead actor Jay Huguley in Los Angeles. The iconic Mad About You actress seemed to be in great spirits as she and her potential new beau munched on some scrumptious snacks before being joined by her teenage daughter, Makena Carnahan.

The 56-year-old beauty was seen laughing and joking around with the Brothers & Sisters actor, 53, as they dined at a local restaurant in L.A. on Sunday, December 1. Helen kept it casual as she donned a gray sweater underneath a black peacoat, gray denim jeans and black boots.

The Twister star — who is the proud mom of Makena, 15, and son Emmett Carnahan, 21 — seemed happier than ever as she and her hot date enjoyed a casual outing to close out the hectic Thanksgiving weekend. After finishing up their lunch, the pair were joined by Makena and friend.

Helen’s date with the Treme star comes a little over two months after she was involved in a scary car accident. On October 16, the beloved actress was briefly hospitalized along with a number of others after she suffered injuries from a terrifying car accident. Closer Weekly reached out to Helen’s representative for comment at the time of the crash.

The close call happened in the Mid-City neighborhood of L.A. on the corner of San Vicente Boulevard and Tremaine Avenue. According to a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department in a statement to People, no crime was committed at the scene of the accident.

According to TMZ — who also released video of the crash — Helen was in the backseat of the car when her black SUV attempted to drive through an intersection until a speeding white car hit her vehicle at the last moment and flipped her car over. At the time of the crash, the mom of two’s representative told the outlet that “she was shaken, but suffered no major injuries.”

Helen recalled the crazy moment her car flipped over while chatting with Entertainment Tonight in mid-November. “It was scary,” she told the outlet in an interview one month after her crash. “I’m grateful to be here with my friend.”
