Heather Locklear Has Mother-Daughter Day in California With Mom Diane in New Photos
Heather Locklear had some mother-daughter time with her mom, Diane, over the weekend. The actress sported a casual look while running errands in the San Fernando Valley area in California in photos obtained by Closer Weekly.
Heather, 63, wore gray leggings and a white off the shoulder top with long sleeves. The Melrose Place alum wore a black and white baseball cap with some layered necklaces and white sneakers during the outing.
She and her mother were pictured in a parking lot as they stopped at CVS. They were also accompanied by a helper. Heather was seen walking across the parking lot to head inside of the store to grab a prescription and then exited the store holding a brown paper bag.
Diane wore an all black outfit with white sneakers as she sat in her wheelchair holding a banana.
The outing came just a few months after the death of Heather’s father, Bill Locklear.
Heather shared the news of her father’s passing in a June 12 Instagram post.
“The most brilliant man I have ever known,” she captioned the post. “The bar is oh so high. The love of my life. The few the proud. I love you dad. RIP.”
According to People, he had been “ailing for a while” and was hospitalized before his death.
“Obviously it was a very stressful time for the family,” a source told the outlet in June.
Heather is very close with her family. She shared a post celebrating her mother’s 90th birthday in May of last year on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday my amazing mom. You know 90 is the new 40!!! So much love.”
And the Golden Globe nominee is at a great place in her life after going on a sobriety journey.
“She has her good days and her bad days, but she’s OK right now,” a source told In Touch in February. “She’s in a much better place than she was a few months ago when she was acting strangely, and her relationship with Chris [Heisser] is stable and keeping her happy.”
“She’s less interested in getting dolled-up and more focused on being healthy and staying on track,” the insider added.
Through everything, Heather’s daughter, Ava, with ex-husband Richie Sambora, has been her rock.
“Heather’s been through some pretty dark times and of course it’s all been in the public eye which has made it that much tougher,” an insider told In Touch in July.
“But she’s worked incredibly hard to get back on track, it’s not been easy by any means, but she works at it every single day and has a great circle of people surrounding her and helping her.”
“Her daughter, Ava, has been her biggest cheerleader, she never gave up hope and is just so devoted,” the insider added.
She celebrated Ava’s engagement to Tyler Farrar in February. “Second best day of my life. First was the day she was born. Sweetest couple ever. Congratulations!” Heather captioned photos of Ava’s proposal on Instagram.
