Since schools have shut down amid the coronavirus outbreak, Halle Berry had to get used to homeschooling her two kids at home. But after a few weeks of working with daughter Nahla and son Maceo, she admits “it’s a nightmare” getting them to concentrate.

“This is like a wash of a semester; they’re really just not learning anything and it’s hard,” Halle, 53, explained to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, April 30. “I have a 6-year-old, and what I learned is that when 6-year-olds see other 6-year-olds do things, then they do things. Like, they sit and they eat because there are 25 other ones doing it. They stay at their desks and color because there are 25 other ones doing it.”

She continued, “At home, there are not 25 other ones doing it. So, to get them to focus and realize they’re at home but yet they’re at school, it’s really been a challenge.”

However, there are some things the Catwoman star loves about having her children at home. For instance, they get to play together more often.

“I have enjoyed having all this extra time with them,” the actress gushed about Maceo, whom she shares with ex-husband Olivier Martinez and Nahla with former boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. “We have been making good use of the time when they’re not in school. When I’m not cracking the whip for school, we do have a lot of family time, storytime and bonding time that we don’t often get to have, so there is the silver lining.”

The X-Men star even showed off how much fun she’s having with the kids when Halle shared a funny video of Maceo walking up the stairs in her heels. The video was viewed over 600,000 times on Instagram and she captioned the clip, “#Quarantine Day 12.”

“That’s what you gotta do in these times! You gotta find the fun, and he’s a class clown,” the brunette beauty joked. “I might have to post some of the other stuff he does.” Please do, Halle. We’d love to see more cute videos of Maceo in quarantine!
