There's a lot of words you can use to describe Halle Berry, but the term "mom" is most important to the star! The 51-year-old actress recently took a break from promoting her latest film, Kidnap — which she produced under her production company 606 Films — to exclusively chat with Closer Weekly about the two special people in her life who keep her grounded, her two kids, Nahla, 9, and Maceo, 3.

So funny! You've got to appreciate a child's honesty, right? "My daughter was being so harassed in LA by the paparazzi that she was afraid to go to school,” she continued. "I actually went up to Sacramento and lobbied [for] almost a year and a half, and I finally got this anti-paparazzi bill in place. As a result, my kids now lead normal lives. I wasn’t going to stop until I changed their reality."

Because of that experience, Halle said working on her new movie was even more impactful than she expected. In the flick, she plays a mother frantically trying to rescue her abducted child, and it’s a role that had a profound influence on her as a parent. "My kids are the biggest part of me," she added. "It made me kiss them more and hug them more."
