Weeks after Gwyneth Paltrow admitted she's "a little scared" to tie the knot with her fiancé, Brad Falchuk, a source close to the actress has revealed that she's "nervous about what the future holds" with her hubby-to-be.
"Gwyneth was crazy about Chris Martin when they got married and never in a million years thought it would end," the insider told Life & Style in the magazine's latest issue, on newsstands now. "Even though she's confident about her relationship with Brad, she can't help feeling nervous about what the future holds."
In June, the mom-of-two, 45, opened up about her engagement and upcoming wedding to Brad, 47, during a Goop podcast chat with friend Sarah Jessica Parker. "I’m about to get married again," Gwyn said at the start of the podcast, adding that while she's "a little scared" to tie the knot again she’s also "very optimistic."
"I think you should be [optimistic]," SJP replied. "You’re a grown-up woman and you’re making a choice for entirely different reasons. Perspective and life experience is everything. I think the value of being a sophisticated woman and choosing marriage is promising, don’t you?"
Gwyneth agreed with Sarah Jessica's sentiment and added, "It’s such a crazy game of chance because who knows if you’re going to grow in parallel, if your paths are going to diverge, [or] what’s going to happen."
Earlier this year, Gwyneth and Brad made headlines when they hosted a lavish and star-studded engagement party at the Los Angeles Theatre in April. The actress was photographed arriving at the black-tie fête in a burgundy one-shouldered gown designed by Giambattista Valli with gorgeous ruffled detailing around the neckline. She also showed off her massive sapphire engagement ring from Brad at the party.
According to multiple reports, Gwyn's famous friends including Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston, Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, and Steven Spielberg (who is Gwyneth’s godfather!) all attended the special event. Gwyneth’s mother, actress Blythe Danner, was also photographed at the party.
Gwyneth and Brad dated for three years before confirming their engagement back in January in an official statement given to Good Morning America. "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship," the couple said at the time. How sweet!
