Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Not Sure” She Wants to Be an Actress Anymore (We’re Not Crying, You’re Crying)

Gwyneth Paltrow just admitted she’s “not sure” she wants to be an actress anymore and, basically, we’re totally crushed.

“I’m not sure how I’ll feel about acting going forward. I’m doing just a teensy little bit here and there when I have time, but I am loving running my business,” the 44-year-old star said in a new interview, referring to her successful lifestyle brand, Goop.

“You know, my life has been skewing far more heavily towards my business, and it has to right now that we have so much going on. We’re growing so fast, and it’s such an exciting time to be doing what I’m doing,” Gwyneth told Extra on Tuesday, June 13.

The mom-of-two last starred on the big screen in the 2015 film Mortdecai alongside Johnny Depp. Throughout her 28-year career, Gwyneth has appeared in nearly 50 movies and won the Best Actress Oscar in 1999 for her role in Shakespeare in Love.

Interestingly, Gwyneth isn’t the first Hollywood star to recently open up about taking a Hollywood hiatus. In a recent interview, Cameron Diaz credited the excessive traveling that comes with acting for why she’s taking a break from showbiz.

“I just went, ‘I can’t really say who I am to myself.’ Which is a hard thing to face up to. I felt the need to make myself whole,” the 44-year-old star said on Saturday, June 10.

Here’s hoping Gwyneth (and Cameron!) will return to acting sooner than soon!
