Brace yourselves — the Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 finale is right around the corner!

There are only two episodes left before the season finale airs on Thursday, May 18, which means no doctor (or patient) is safe at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
So far, we know the upcoming episode — titled “Ring of Fire” — will bring some kind of relationship resolution for Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) shares news with Nathan (Martin Henderson) that will lead their romance to a dramatic turning point.

“There’s actually two events going on at the same time that are pretty big that affect the entire hospital community,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “You should be worried. There’s cause for worry. There’s an amazing cliffhanger that will have everybody thinking, ‘Wow, where is this going?!'”

As if that wasn’t enough, show creator Shonda Rhimes added, “Debbie Allen and I like to say that the episode is on fire. That’s the only way we’re going to describe it. It’s a pretty exciting episode that’s very on fire.”

On fire?! Does that mean the hospital will be on fire? Are the doctors on fire? Or is it simply a metaphor for tension within relationships? That’s all still a mystery, but the producers do promise that the finale will set the tone for an entertaining Season 14.

“I think Season 14 is going to be spectacular,” Debbie continued. “We’re planting some seeds that you won’t see coming, but you will be waiting to see how it’s all going to play out.”
