TV actress Sarah Drew wants everyone to leave her fellow Grey's Anatomy co-star Kelly McCreary alone! Ever since Kelly's character, Dr. Maggie Pierce, started dating Dr. Jackson Avery (played by Jesse Williams) on the hit medical drama, Grey's fans have not been happy. Why, you ask? Because Jackson used to be married to Sarah's character, Dr. April Kepner. So, on Tuesday, May 8, Sarah took to social media to defend her friend Kelly from the harsh critics.

"I need to say something to some of you. I say 'some' because I know that many of you are not participating in this," Sarah wrote on Twitter. "Look, I know these characters mean so much to you — believe me, they mean a lot to me too — but I do not feel defended when you attack my friends. My beautiful, loving, loyal sister, Kelly, is a brilliant, fiercely talented team player, who ALWAYS shows up and dedicates herself to the stories she is asked to tell."

She continued, "Please stop attacking her for doing her job. When you hurt her, you hurt me. When you show kindness to her, you show kindness to me. Please be kind."

Maggie and Jackson's romance isn't the only show drama that Grey's Anatomy fans have been upset about in recent months. In early March, co-showrunner and executive producer, Krista Vernoff, sadly revealed that Sarah and her co-star Jessica Capshaw (who plays Dr. Arizona Robbins) will both be leaving the series after Season 14.

"The characters of Arizona (played by Jessica) and April (played by Sarah) are permanently woven into the fabric of Grey’s Anatomy thanks to the extraordinary work of Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew. As writers, our job is to follow the stories where they want to go and sometimes that means saying goodbye to characters we love," Vernoff told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

Plus, in a new teaser for next Thursday's Grey's episode, April looks like she might get killed off the show — understandably causing fans to be even more outraged. One thing is for sure, Grey's Anatomy definitely knows how to keep their viewers invested in the series' drama!
