WATCH‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14 Sneak Peek Teases Even More Hospital Destruction (So Much Drama!)
In case you’re like us and can’t wait for Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 to premiere tonight — you’re in luck! ABC just released a sneak peek of the first episode. And, it’s nothing short of dramatic. If you forgot, Season 13 ended with a huge fire and explosion leaving the doctors (and hospital!) in a state of chaos. Apparently, judging from the latest clip there’s quite a bit of rebuilding necessary.
And this isn’t the first time Grey Sloan Memorial (formerly Seattle Grace) has had to rebuild after destruction. Fans will remember in the memorable Season 2 bomb episodes when an explosive was trapped inside a patient. After the hospital was on a “Code Black,” eventually the bomb detonated injuring Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo). Watch the Season 14 premiere sneak peek below to see how this latest bomb damaged the hospital!
Well, a lot happened in that short clip. First, Dr. Bailey (played by Chandra Wilson) addressed the team of doctors with good news. The firefighters were able to get the fire under control and no one was seriously injured. That in and of itself is nothing short of a Grey’s miracle because there was a massive explosion that happened in the hospital last season. We’re so relieved it didn’t result in another death.
But, she did admit that the hospital will need to be repaired. Some of the structural damage impacted some of the ORs. We also got a little preview into Stephanie Edwards’ (played by Jerrika Hinton) fate. We knew that she wasn’t going to return this season but apparently she’s already been airlifted to another hospital. We’ll miss her but this season is going to be packed full of new characters and dramatic storylines. We can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for Season 14!
