Goldie Hawn Says Doing a Movie With Daughter Kate Hudson and Her Grandkids Would Be ‘Amazing’

A family affair! Goldie Hawn and her two oldest kids — Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson — have “thought about” doing a movie together. The actress revealed all the exciting details during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

“In every iteration, we’ve all laughed and [went,] ‘Can you imagine?'” she told host Andy Cohen on Sunday, May 24. “And what’s interesting is that our grandchildren are also talented. So you’re thinking, what would happen [if we actually did this?] I mean, Oliver’s children and Kate’s too, they’re naturals.”

Goldie, 74, who is a proud grandma of six to kids Ryder, 16, Wilder, 12, Bodhi, 10, Bingham, 8, Rio, 6, and Rani Rose, 1, added, “it would be amazing” to get everyone together for a project. The only person she’s worked with in the family is her longtime boyfriend, Kurt Russell.

The pair starred in The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1968 and Swing Shift in 1984. However, their most popular film will always be Overboard. Goldie recalled watching the 1987 film with her beau when they were getting ready to snuggle in bed.

“It was so fabulous,” she gushed to Andy, 51. “We were like, ‘Oh, I remember that one. That was funnier than I thought.’” And the best part about their evening was that the two actors didn’t plan on watching their movie that night. It just happened to be on TV. “The two of us forgot about what we were going to do and we ended up watching the movie,” Goldie said. “It was great.”

Watching Overboard also made Goldie recall her incredible relationship with the actor. “You know how sometimes you forget why you fell in love? I remembered everything, and why I fell in love. It was really something to be able to watch that,” she told James Corden in May 2017 about a different time she saw the film with her beau.

With Goldie’s hard-working attitude, it’s no wonder Oliver said he’s so “damn proud” to be her son. We can’t wait for them to do a movie together!
