What a way to celebrate 33 years of loved-up bliss (not to mention the applaud-worthy feat of creating some of Tinseltown’s most memorable movie reels for almost 50 years) than with matching stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
Yes, that’s right: Hollywood heavyweights and longtime lovers Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell received their well-deserved stars in a joint ceremony on Thursday, May 4, in front of a crowd of guests, including Goldie’s daughter, Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and Quentin Tarantino.
As reported by People, the ridiculously cute couple shared a loving kiss behind the podium and also used this (literally) star-studded opportunity to profess their love for not only each other, but their family.

However, it was Kurt’s words that really drove a love-loaded stake into our hearts. “I owe a special debt of appreciation to my family,” the 66-year-old began. “Thanks to my kids Boston, Oliver, Kate, and Wyatt. Any father would be blessed to be gifted with the lifetime you have brought me.”
“Goldie to you, I owe my wonderful life,” he continued. “Simply put Goldie, I cherish you. All of the stars in the sky or the boulevard don’t hold a candle to that.”
“There’s no one else I’d rather be next to than Goldie Hawn,” Kurt added.
Then Goldie’s daughter, and Kurt’s step-daughter, Kate took to the mic, and our tear ducts really started to swell. “I was slotted in to talk about my mother, but I have two parents and they’re both here,” she said.

“I always thought I’d be talking about them at a wedding or something,” she said. “But since a wedding doesn’t seem to be in our near future, this seems to be my only opportunity.”
She continued, “Their philosophy is family first. As their child, what really stands out is [that] somehow in their phenomenal careers, they’ve maintained normalcy with all of their children.”
“They never hid away their love for making movies. For me and my brother [Oliver], we grew up with artists. These shining stars standing next to me, their real legacy is what they’ve instilled in us kids,” Kate said.
Hey, it might not have been a wedding reception — Goldie has already said she wouldn’t marry Kurt — but if this kind of special ceremony doesn’t solidify Goldie and Kurt’s love in the eyes of the public, we don’t know what does.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
