Gisele Bündchen Looks Unrecognizable Portraying Singer Mina Mazzini On ‘Vogue Italia’ Cover
Is that you, Gisele Bündchen?! The supermodel looked almost unrecognizable as the new cover girl for Vogue Italia‘s October issue. For her glam cover shoot, Gisele portrayed famous Italian singer Mina Mazzini and looked so much like the songstress that we barely realized it was actually her!
On the mag, Gisele is pictured wearing heavy eye makeup and a bold red lip with long scarlet tresses to match. She completed the look by dressing up in a neutral-colored Dior dress paired with medium-sized golden hoop earrings. Overall, Mina’s look is much different than Gisele’s usual style.
“It’s always fun when I get to play different roles while modeling and feel what it’s like to look completely different,” Gisele wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 19 alonside a snapshot of her Vogue Italia cover. The 38-year-old also thanked her glam squad for making her look like “the most iconic Italian singer of all times for a day.”
The October issue of Vogue Italia is celebrating 60 years of the now 78-year-old singer’s career and according to the magazine’s website, Gisele’s transformative look was a re-interpretation of how she sees Mina. “The resemblance with Mina [and] the Brazilian supermodel is impressive, which, in order to recreate sensuality and expression, has been prepared by watching the videos of the artist,” the site explained.
Emanuele Farneti, the director of Vogue Italia, added, “We thought it would be nice to celebrate not the singer Mina, but the extraordinary creator of Mina, and the impact she had on the world of fashion, beauty, [and] pop culture in general.”
After conquering her Vogue Italia cover shoot, Gisele is now focusing on her upcoming projects like her new book, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life that’s set to be released this October. In March 2018, she opened up on Instagram about what her fans can expect to read in her book.
“I’m happy I get to share with you my journey through many of the ups and downs that made me who I am today,” she wrote and added that it will include, “some of the experiences I have lived through these past 37 years, what I’ve learned, the values that guided me, and the tools that have helped me become who I am.”
