According to a new report, a reboot of the popular show starring Lauren Graham (as Lorelai Gilmore) and Alexis Bledel (as Rory Gilmore) is in the works at Netflix. Gilmore Girls — which ran from 2000 until 2007 on The WB and later The CW — also starred Melissa McCarthy (as Sookie St. James), Kelly Bishop (as Emily Gilmore), Scott Patterson (as Luke Danes) and the late Edward Herrmann (as Richard Gilmore). Though many of the show’s original cast members are expected to return for the Netflix reboot, Melissa will likely not appear due to her ongoing role on Mike & Molly and her commitment to upcoming movies including The Boss and Ghostbusters.
