Giada De Laurentiis Reveals She’s Open To Getting Married Again: ‘I’m Never Going To Say Never’
Though celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis‘ past 11-year marriage to TV personality Todd Thompson didn’t work out, the 48-year-old just revealed that her divorce hasn’t kept her from dating — or prevented her from thinking about getting married for the second time!
“I’m never going to say never. You know what? You never know in this life,” Giada told Us Weekly about possibly tying the knot again in the future. She then added, “[But] it depends [on] who the proposal is from.”
Giada and Todd previously confirmed their separation in December 2014 by posting a brief statement online. “Our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths,” Giada wrote via her website at the time. The couple tied the knot in May 2003 and are parents to a 10-year-old daughter, Jade Thompson, together.
Luckily, Giada was able to find happiness after her divorce and with someone new — she began dating current boyfriend Shane Farley in late 2015. “After I got divorced, I spent about a year and a half alone, not dating, just figuring things out,” Giada once told People. “I didn’t know what it meant to not be married. Once I got settled, [Shane and I] reconnected and I felt like a kid again.”
“Shane’s a lot of fun. He’s very spontaneous and loves to laugh,” she told People in a previous interview. “It’s one of my favorite things about our relationship.” And Shane feels the same way, too. “Giada is one of the most positive people I have ever met. She’s warm and absolutely beautiful — what you see on the outside is there on the inside as well,” he also told the magazine. How cute!
