Savannah Guthrie Jokes Interviewing George Clooney Is ‘An Average Day in the Office’
Not a bad job to have at all! Savannah Guthrie has met many famous figures, and one of the most notable is George Clooney — but it’s not that big of a deal according to her.
“Average day at the office,” the 47-year-old said on an Instagram post she shared on Friday, May 3. The photo showed her posing with the ER alum, 57, and actors Kyle Chandler and Christopher Abbot. Fans were of course jealous of the TV personality and her gig!
“I would love to have your job Savannah,” one person said in the comments section. “Lucky girl,” another responded, with a user adding, “I would like to work in this office.” The trio of actors visited Today to promote their Hulu mini-series, Catch-22.
“I just care about the quality of the work,” the Oscar winner explained of the show at the recent TCA Winter Tour session. “And what we’re able to do. And television is doing some amazing things. We have an eight-part piece on Watergate we’re doing now … we just want to work.”
There is no word on how the father-of-two met up with his fellow costars, but one thing is for sure: he did not get there on his motorcycle — his wife, Amal Clooney, banned him from ever riding one again.
“I’m not allowed to ride motorcycles” the actor said during a Catch-22 panel at the DGT Theater in New York City on Wednesday, May 1. “I got into a really bad accident. I hit a guy at 70 miles an hour on my bike. Got launched. And so that’s, I’m off of bikes.” We don’t blame Amal, 41, for this at all, especially after hearing that she wasn’t pleased with her man following the incident.
“While George is blowing it off as no big deal, Amal is furious,” an insider exclusively told Closer Weekly. “She and his friends have been wanting him to get rid of that scooter. His mother even called him to admonish him about it, that she’s been wanting him to get rid of it, too.”
We are just glad George is well and can still hang out with his friends and family!
