Ever since Tina Fey &** Amy Poehler** made fun of George Clooney’s penchant for dating younger women during their Golden Globes opening, the actor has been plotting his revenge!

Not only did Clooney officially strike back, but he brought good pal Matt Damon unwillingly in on the joke!

“I sent [Tina] a letter on Matt Damon stationery that said, ‘Dear Tina, I may sound like a hypocrite because I laughed at the jokes about George…[but] when you called me a garbage man, you know, it really hurt me and my kid calls me a garbage man now,'” Clooney explains (Fey & Poehler compared Damon to a “garbage person” at the Golden Globes).

But it turns out the Oscar winner underestimated the comediennes intelligence.

The duo sent two giant fruit baskets to Damon accompanied by three notes. The first was the original “Matt Damon” letter, the second, an apology to Damon, and the third, a note revealing they knew about Clooney’s prank.

“If your note is part of some George Clooney prank, as I very strongly suspect it is, you A-list amateurs are going to have to step it the f- up,” wrote Fey and Poehler.

“We are not some easily confused starlets here. We are grown-ass, professional comedians. Please accept this fruit as a token of our sincerity. Best wishes, Elizabeth Tina Fey, Amy ‘Boston’ Poehler.”

So although the 52-year-old failed in fooling the former SNL stars, he’s successfully pulled of plenty of pranks in the past!

Take a look at 7 other tricks the actor has tried out!

1. Bumper Sticker Mayhem

After Brad Pitt put out a flyer on the “Ocean’s Twelve” set listing all of Clooney’s supposed “diva demands,” the actor sought retaliation. He covered Pitt’s car with a bunch of bumper stickers, some reading, “I’m gay and I vote,” and “Small Penis on Board.”

“People were honking at him and waving,” explained the pair’s co-star Matt Damon. “And he thinks it’s because he’s Brad Pitt and he’s waving back.”

2. Masterpiece Maestro

One of the celeb’s more elaborate pranks involved his good buddy Richard Kind. “I remember finding a painting that someone had thrown away…It was this gigantic, awful [thing],” said Clooney.

The actor had it framed and signed his name to it, and any time Kind asked to hang out over the next year, the star would say, “I can’t. I’ve got art class.”

“Then on his 40th birthday,” the star explained, “I said, ‘My art teacher’s really proud of me but this [painting] is the first one we’re both really proud of…I want you to have it.’ It hung over his couch for another two years and everyone knew except for him.”

3. Drunken Disaster

On a flight to LA, Clooney & Pitt challenged friend and producer Jerry Weintraub to a drinking contest. But the catch…the handsome duo switched out their booze for water! When Weintraub passed out drunk, the pair filled his underwear with M&M’s!

“When I got up I felt squishy stuff in my shoes, in my underwear, in my clothes, and they put M&M’s in my underwear,” laughed Weintraub. “I found out from the pilots and the stewardess they were drinking water.”

4. Silk-Shirt Scandal!

The M&M mishap wasn’t the only time Clooney went after longtime friend Weintraub! The “Ocean’s Twelve” producer shared how the 52-year-old once stole his expensive gold silk shirt because he hated it so much!

“For my birthday, I received a big box wrapped with ribbon and in it was my gold shirt. On the back, Clooney had drawn a picture in black marker of a giant penis, and he’d had everyone who participated in a charity golf tournament for prostate cancer in Las Vegas sign it, too,” revealed the Brooklyn native.

5. Wedding Day Blues

Clooney’s friends aren’t the only ones to become victims of his pranking. The “ER” star had a field day with the paparazzi when they got word he was hosting the wedding of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

“Once the story started, all these people started showing up – and I mean hundreds and hundreds of press people outside the house,” said the actor.

“I called and ordered high-top tables and had them put out on the front lawn because helicopters are flying over. It went on for two weeks — people thinking there was going to be a wedding.”

6. Tailoring Trouble

For his latest on-set prank, Clooney went after his old favorite: Matt Damon. “Matt was rushing to lose weight, and I’d have the wardrobe people take in his uniform every day, so that no matter how much he was losing, the clothes felt tight on him,” the director said of his “Monuments Men” co-star.

When asked whether he had plans to get Clooney back, Damon answered, “He’s got too much free time. I’ve got four kids. What am I going to do? Get in a prank battle with George? That’s not going to end well for me.”
