Friends Are Reportedly Buzzing That George and Amal Are Expecting Again: “The Timing Is Right for Another!”

Are George Clooney and Amal Clooney ready to have more kids? According to a new report, friends close to the 57-year-old actor and his human rights lawyer wife, 40, are buzzing that the Clooneys may be expecting again just 14 months after welcoming twins Ella and Alexander. 

“The word is that she’s pregnant again,” an insider told OK! — in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now — adding that Amal was recently photographed with George in Italy on Aug. 11 sporting what appeared to be a tiny baby bump. “Their twins [Ella and Alexander] are old enough now that the timing is right for another. They feel they’re more than prepared to become parents again.”

“There are whispers that Amal could even be having another set of twins,” the source said, adding that the Clooneys “have also discussed asking Alexander and Ella’s baby nurse, Connie Simpson, to return once their baby — or babies! — arrive.”

Another baby could be the happy news that George and Amal need following the A-list star’s scary motorcycle accident in Italy in early July. At the time of the incident, Closer Weekly exclusively reported that Amal was “furious” about her husband’s accident. 

“George and Amal have their problems like any couple, but things really intensified after the accident,” the source told OK!. “Everyone is hoping this baby will be enough to bring them back together again.”

According to the insider, the root of George and Amal’s marital problems is the actor’s inability to act his age. Though he gave up his wild lifestyle after he married Amal in 2014, “George eventually began slipping back into some of his old habits, including his passion for motorcycles. After his accident, they started fighting even more because Amal is getting fed up with his reluctance to settle down, even with two young children at home.”

Friends of the couple are now hoping that Amal’s pregnancy will be the wake-up call George needs to take things seriously. “He’s such a fun-loving guy, and that’s part of the reason Amal loves him. But she needs him to start showing her that he’s willing to act like a grown-up. She wants him to spend more time at home with her and the kids and cut down on the tequila and motorbikes.”

“George and Amal have had their rough patches, but they are great parents and welcoming another child would only bring them closer together. George loves being a dad and he would never jeopardize losing Amal and his family,” the source shared.
