Get ready for quite the bash! George Clooney and his wife, Amal, will be going the extra mile for their children, Alexander and Emma, who will soon be turning two!

The power couple, married since 2014, “are going to go all out for their twins’ second birthday,” a source exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “It’s going to be held in their London home with all the usual trappings — balloons, party hats, but they’ll have his and her birthday cakes. The theme won’t be anything commercial, as Amal’s not into film superheroes or commercial brand names, but there will probably be a paint party and rainbow decorations for about a dozen kids.”

George, 58, and Amal, 41, may also be quite successful, but they are not interested in drowning their children in boatloads of presents. “Ella is into art and Alexander is all about cars. They’re not showering them with many gifts, their plan is still to avoid spoiling them, so they’ve already purchased an adjustable easel for Ella and a mini racetrack for Alexander,” the insider adds. “They’ll be a couple more gifts, but that’s about it.”

It will be more than just little pals at this giant party — family is expected to attend too. “Both sets of grandparents will be there. Amal’s mom and dad live nearby and George is flying in his parents from Ohio,” the source reveals. “Of course there will be a more lavish food and wine spread for the grownups.”

It certainly sounds like those two little ones will be having a great time — although, their first birthday was quite memorable according to the Oscar winner. “Well, the kids got drunk. I don’t know what you guys were doing, but I came home, they had a bottle of booze. It was really embarrassing, but they’re feeling better today,” George joked to Us Weekly while walking the red carpet at the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award Gala in LA in June 2018.

The Clooneys have been having plenty of birthdays lately — the Ocean’s Eleven star recently celebrated his own. “I turned 58. Nothing is fun,” the actor said on Jimmy Kimmel Live, adding that he and Amal enjoyed a “really nice” dinner at home.
