George Clooney and Amal Clooney Confirm They are Not Expecting

It seems a baby is not on the way for George Clooney and Amal Clooney after all.

On Monday, Dec. 8, the Oscar-winner, 53, and his barrister wife, 36, confirmed to ‘Us Weekly’ they are not expecting their first child together.

The news comes after Amal was photographed wearing a loose-fitting dress — that many assumed was hiding a baby bump — while out in Hollywood this past weekend.

First comes marriage, then comes baby?

Though George Clooney and Amal Clooney have only been married just over two months, the actor, 53, is reportedly ready to start a family with his barrister wife, 36 — but it seems Amal is not on the same page.

“The baby topic has caused a lot of tension between the two,” a source said in a new report. “George feels like he’s a victim of a bait and switch.”

The couple allegedly discussed their plans to start a family before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony on Sept. 27 in Venice, Italy. Last month rumors swirled that the newlyweds were looking to adopt an orphan from a war-torn country.

“Amal feels overwhelmed,” the insider told ‘The National Enquirer.’ “She’d like a year to adjust to her marriage and newfound fame before dealing with a pregnancy or the red tape of a complicated international adoption.”
