There’s no greater joy than watching your child fulfill her dream — at least not for Ron Olguin.
The 49-year-old was in tears when his daughter Brianna was hand-picked by The Buried Life to have her dream of visiting Italy become reality.
As a painter, Ron instilled in her the desire to see the world and see the works of the great Italian masters, but like many people in their small town of Isleta Pueblo, N.M., Brianna had never left the state, much less the country.
The Buried Life, comprised of Ben Nemtin, Duncan Penn, Jonnie Penn and Dave Lingwood, rose to fame with their MTV show of the same name and their New York Times best selling book, “What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?”
They have traveled the globe checking items off their bucket list while helping strangers do the same along the way. Now they’re fulfilling unforgettable travel wishes for people by surprising worthy recipients with trips of a lifetime and sharing these adventures in a new web series.
The first installment, “Brianna’s Story,” opens with The Buried Life and Contiki surprising Brianna at her school with a plane ticket and a rush trip to the passport office before heading overseas. Check it out here (but grab some tissues first!)
