Meredith Baxter, the actress famous for playing mom Elyse Keaton on the 1980s hit “Family Ties,” married her longtime partner Nancy Locke before friends and family on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The couple of seven years exchanged handwritten vows in front of guests, which included Baxter’s five children from two of her three previous marriages.

The actress came out as lesbian in 2009 during an interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer and revealed that she and Locke, a building contractor, began dating in 2005, five years after her last marriage to screenwriter Michael Blodgett ended. Baxter was previously married to Robert Lewis Bush from 1966-1971, David Birney from 1974-1990, and Blodgett from 1995-2000.
