Closer Weekly can exclusively report that Richard Kind, 57, and his wife, Dana Stanley, are separating.

A source told Closer that the couple’s separation is amicable.

The former "Mad About You" and "Spin City" star was recently at the Creative Coalition Oracle at Rock & Reilly’s on Jan. 17 during the Sundance Film Festival, promoting his film "Obvious Child."

When we asked Kind about the news that he and his wife were splitting, he said, “I don't want to talk about that."

The couple live with their three children — Skyler, 11, and twins, Samantha and Max, 9, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Kind and Stanley married in November 1999 at the Park View Restaurant of New York City’s Central Park Boathouse, where Kind’s best man was his best pal George Clooney.

The actor’s rep had no comment.
