Don't underestimate a man's pride for his homeland!

Aussie actor Hugh Jackman celebrated Australia Day on Jan. 26 with a celebration at Refinery Rooftop in downtown Manhattan.

The 45-year-old gave an impassioned speech about his Australian roots and the pride he felt for his native country.

The Empire State Building, illuminated in Australia's colors, loomed in the background of the Qantas Airlines-sponsored rooftop party, and guests enjoyed a remarkable dinner by Australian celebrity chef, Neil Perry.

But in a surprise move that shocked everyone in attendance, Jackman broke into a powerhouse performance of "I Still Call Australia Home" after his speech! And he succeeded in getting the audience to sing along with him!
